apologies

for anyone who caught that awful mash-up of bloc party's 'banquet' and katy perry's 'i kissed a girl' this afternoon, and thought they were tuned to the edge or ZM, i apologise profusely. i am just so sorry. we tried to prevent it from happening, but it did, and the person responsible was instantly beheaded and disemboweled.

The Week That Was

i've gotta be honest here, the last week has been pretty crap. i just thought i'd get to the point straight away and tell you that. but you know, i'm just trying to take remember all of that rubbish about hope being a flower that springs in the face of adversity on the side of a mountain covered in broken microwaves. or something to that effect.

so the national party eh? if you're reading this and you voted for them, you're a dirty fuckin' arsebandit. nothing against arsebandits, but you're a shit one and you probably would never admit you're an arsebandit. i'm just disappointed in indecisive people everywhere, being one of those myself. swing voters on a broken seesaw? nah, you just all suck.
enough swearing and politics for now though. i'll get amongst plenty of sweet key-bashing in the coming years.

also in suck news, a beautiful, talented hilarious girl sadly passed away last thursday, the 6th of november. freya stephen fucking ruled and there's no two ways about it. she was always at least two joyous bounding leaps ahead of me on the radio, right from when i started at age 17. she was 16, and had already been awesome on air for a year or so. when i was at high school, i did the show after hers every weekend. we had the mad girly chats.
i really am still stunned by the loss of this amazing young woman, and i keep expecting her to walk into sad r ooms and hug all the people who're missing her like hell. i can't really think of anyone better for a comforting hug, chat, bitch or bong than our darling freya.

just thought i'd post this fantastic picture of her and the camp a low hum 08 boozemelon.

gonna miss you lovely.

hopo.
